Somnium is my new dance film that wants to capture and express our dreams, memories, anxieties and desires at this time of change. Created for Fertile Ground, Somnium was conceived at the time of extended confinement during the pandemic. Filmed in the spring 2021, the film is part of Fertile Ground triple bill Myths and Dreams, due to premiere on the stage of Dance City Newcastle on October 14th, 2021.

Three short films made for Pasted, a preview exhibition devised by design curator Libby Sellers to celebrate the launch of the Serpentine Galleries Wallpaper Collection by artists, architects and designers in May 2015. Serpentine Galleries collaborated with la Rinascente in Milan on a special commission for the department store’s eight storefront windows during the 2015 Salone del Mobile This inaugural wallpaper collection comprises 13 patterns by seven contributors, including artists Lawrence Weiner, Ai Weiwei, as well as architects SANAA featured in the three dance films.

This film was commissioned by Kettle’s Yard Gallery in Cambridge as part of a larger exhibition entitled NEW RHYTHMS Henri Gaudier –Brzeska: Art, Dance and Movement in London 1911-15. The film was created in collaboration with composer Kate Whitley and filmmaker David McCormick. It takes inspiration from Henri Gaudier Brzeska’s Wrestlers and features music for a violinist and a violist and a duo of dancers. The camera plays a witness to the shifting dynamics between the two figures.

Commissioned for the opening of the new Rambert building this short film depicts excerpts from collaboration between Malgorzata Dzierzon and composer Kate Whitley in the context of three Rambert London location. New music and choreography are filmed by Laurent Liotardo against the backdrops of the Mercury Theatre in Notting Hill, Rambert's Chiswick home and the newly built South Bank base. The full work, Hikikomori was performed by the cast of 8 during Rambert Evening of New Choreography, Sadlers Wells Lilian Baylis Studio, 17& 18 December 2013 and a cast of 30 students of Cogo, Pavilion Dance South West, February 23, 2014.

In December 2013 Malgorzata collaborated with Julie Strandberg and director Nadia Marquard Otzen to create a choreography and provide movement direction for a Rae Morris video Skin, featuring dancers Cree Barnett Williams, Hannah Kidd and Jonathan Goddard.
